Ken's Lake irrigation season will begin on Monday, April 8, 2019..
As of April 1, 2019, Ken's Lake has 522 AF in storage. That is 122 acre feet above the conservation level. The runoff is coming in steadily and we anticipate the runoff increasing in volume over the next several weeks. We are 182% of average for water on the mountain and we anticipate a greater than average runoff.
We will start the system on Monday, April 8th. It should be pressurized some time in the afternoon on Monday. Please be sure to close your valve prior to startup.
We have not put any restrictions in place for this season thus far. We urge you to be very cautious with water use in the beginning of the season as we do not know the exact amount of water to expect in the runoff. Greater conservation in April and May will also help prevent us from using the pumps to avoid the conservation pool.
We wish to thank our users for helping us get through the drought of 2018. It was a tough your for everyone. We appreciate your efforts and support. It you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the office at 259-8121. We are happy to help.
